Supports Bolesta Center at USF Greater Tampa Sertoma Club and Help Deaf Kids Talk, Inc. presented a donation of $12,000 to the Bolesta Center at the University of South Florida (USF) at the club meeting on August 1st. The funds will directly benefit children and families impacted by hearing loss. GTSC Welcomes New Member Dan Reardon New member Dan Reardon was introduced at the meeting on August 1st. Since its founding in 1974, the club has been committed to improving the quality of life for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support Celebrating a Legacy of Service Over the past 50 years, the Greater Tampa Sertoma Club has made significant contributions to the community, including funding speech and hearing therapy for children with hearing loss, supporting local schools with hearing loss education, and providing scholarships to students pursuing careers in audiology and speech pathology. The club’s efforts have positively impacted countless lives, and this milestone anniversary is a testament to the dedication and hard work of its members. Anniversary Gala EventTo commemorate this special occasion, the Greater Tampa Sertoma Club held an Anniversary Gala on July 19, 2024, at the Temple Terrace Country Club. The event featured a retrospective of the club’s achievements and special recognition of charter members G. E. Jones, Jr. and Richard M. Herman who helped form the club in 1974. Member Larry Bane was recognized as 2023-2024 Sertoman of the Year. Officers and directors were installed for the upcoming year.
