Celebrating a Legacy of Service Over the past 50 years, the Greater Tampa Sertoma Club has made significant contributions to the community, including funding speech and hearing therapy for children with hearing loss, supporting local schools with hearing loss education, and providing scholarships to students pursuing careers in audiology and speech pathology. The club’s efforts have positively impacted countless lives, and this milestone anniversary is a testament to the dedication and hard work of its members.
Anniversary Gala EventTo commemorate this special occasion, the Greater Tampa Sertoma Club held an Anniversary Gala on July 19, 2024, at the Temple Terrace Country Club. The event featured a retrospective of the club’s achievements and special recognition of charter members G. E. Jones, Jr. and Richard M. Herman who helped form the club in 1974. Member Larry Bane was recognized as 2023-2024 Sertoman of the Year. Officers and directors were installed for the upcoming year.
