*SERvice TO MAnkind Award 2010

Each year Sertoma recognizes an individual for his or her contributions in Service to Mankind. This individual is a Non-Sertoman which has done outstanding volunteer or philanthropic work in their community.

Local clubs submit their candidates to the Sertoma District to which they belong. The Sertoma District then picks the District Service to Mankind Award recipient. This process continues to the region and then to International where Sertoma International chooses the International Service to Mankind Award winner.
Greater Tampa Sertoma Club is proud to have selected
Dr. SYLVIA D. CAMPBELL to receive our club's
Service To Mankind Award for 2010.

Club President Mike Dickinson presenting the Service to Mankind Award to Dr. Campbell.
Dr. Campbell was recognized for her  30-year voluntary ‘career’ at JCHC included treating patients after hours having worked all day in her private practice. This care continues today at no charge.
She also provides medical care on a voluntary basis extending beyond our shores, to countries like Haiti and Uganda. She has opened her home to young patients and their parents from these countries while receiving life-saving treatment here. She assisted in the recovery from hurricane Katrina, again taking time away from family and practice.
Dr. Campbell was accompanied by Kelly Bell, the Executive Director of the Judeo Christian (Free) Health Clinic (JCHC) here in Tampa.
The Plaque awarded to Dr Campbell is a small gesture for all the many hours Dr Campbell devotes to the Tampa community.
